The purpose of this half dollar in 1925 was to use it to raise funds for a monument to the Confederacy on Stone Mountain in Georgia. Made of 90% silver Two Civil War leaders are honored on the obverse General Robert E. Lee is remembered for his role for the Confederate forces General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson is the second person honored on the coin. We grade this coin as Uncirculated with a rather prominent toning spot on the obverse, but please see pics and grade for yourself. it is slightly darker in person than in pics - we did not try to alleviate the tonining spot in any way and wanted to leave it in as-found condition.
